Canadian Tire Maps

 I am surprised to see how valuable Canadian Tire maps are.  A 1929 Canadian Tire map of Ontario recently sold for $178.  I understand the value of a map that old, but the Canadian Tire logo seems to double if not triple its value.  Since Canadian Tire is still in business I find this puzzling.  Eaton's maps are nicer, but do not have even close to same value, despite being out of business for several years.  The above map is a 1941, while below is a 1949.  Both are from my collection.
